Get ready for Rocks, Roads & Reggae in the beautiful state of Alabama!

Atomik Carbon was conceived as a result of mountain biking trips in the Blue Mountains of Jamaica. Now, for the fifth year running, we are bringing that island vibe to the state of Alabama with the Rocks, Roads & Reggae V gravel ride. This is the first year outside the state of Florida, at an all-new location; Cheaha State Park in Delta, Alabama. Located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, and situated at the highest elevation in the state, this new venue truly offers the perfect, picturesque terrain for a gravel ride event.

Rocks, Roads & Reggae V will take place March 18-20, 2022 at Cheaha State Park. The two-day adventure will cover nearly 100 miles with routes exploring remote backcountry roads with endless rolling views and beautiful wooded scenery. We’re inviting you to join us for a weekend of two wheels and one love.

The ride will depart from the campground on Saturday morning, March 19, and set out to cover roughly 45 miles of incredibly beautiful country roads throughout the Delta area. The ride will return to the campground for an evening of live music and authentic Jamaican food prepared on-site. Breakfast will be provided in the morning before setting out on another 50-mile day of adventure, concluding back at the campground to round out the weekend.

This is not a race. Think of it as a reggae party with your friends in the woods, that just happens to include 100 miles of gravel biking.  Beautiful scenery and good company are what this ride is all about.

Registration and Meet & Greet: Friday evening at site #68 in the lower campground at Cheaha State Park.

Day of Ride: Park gates open at 8 AM. The entire event is held at the campground and the rides will be out and back on both Saturday and Sunday.

We will be covering up to 50 miles on gravel roads per day, so ride anything you are comfortable on for that distance! Gravel/adventure bikes are probably best with minimum 32-millimeter tires, but cross-country mountain bikes are also suitable for this gravel ride. “Run what you brung,” — it’s an adventure!

Your bike and camping gear (including toiletries, towel, etc.). We will be setting up base camp at the park, so there is no need for any bikepacking gear. There is a chance that you might not be able to park right next to where you can set up your tent, so plan accordingly. Anyone using a hammock must have tree straps. We will provide the food, brews and tunes.
